Tony is an experienced, board level HR professional with over 25 years as an executive and non-executive Director in organisations across the public, private and charitable sectors. In his spare time Tony loves cooking, is a movie buff, pub quiz champion and keen scuba diver.

His career began in retail banking and as a national officer for a Trade Union (resolving industrial relations challenges).

Tony then successfully transitioned to the public sector in the NHS (Executive HR Director), Education (NED roles), and worked with and supported local and national charities developing simple but, effective HR policies and protocols.

In 2011, Tony worked as HR Director with Jersey’s Health and Social Services before joining HR Now.

Developing HR strategies, Tony's HR experience extends over project management, case managing employment tribunals, advising on reward packages and complex employee relations casework issues and improving the functionality of Boards. These diverse competencies makes him well placed to compliment HR Now’s existing team of professional consultants.

Tony’s advanced training in change management allows him to move outside habitual thinking style’s which will support businesses to achieve successful solutions and outcomes.

Tony has a Diploma in Employment Law, is a graduate of the NHS Leadership Programme accredited by Harvard University, a master’s Degree in HR Strategy and Industrial Relations, is a licenced De Bono 6 Thinking Hats Practitioner and holds a Toyota Lean Green Belt.

Projects

Update 2019 - I have recently been advising and supporting two local businesses with organisational restructuring and managing necessary redundancies.

Some of my most successful projects have been case managing and representing clients facing challenging Employment Tribunal claims in Jersey and in the UK with consistently excellent results for the client.

I am regularly called upon to lead investigations or manage difficult cases involving or assisting Boards across a range of sectors.
