My Experience

A careers advisor once said that it would be HR or teaching for me. After starting my teaching degree, I quickly realised the direction I wanted to go in. So, whilst completing my degree, I explored the notion of embarking in a HR career. After completing an HR Internship, I was excited to pursue HR further my gaining experience with Becky. Since the pandemic hit, I have been working with HR Now in Jersey, achieved my CIPD Associate membership and gained experience in all things HR. With a thirst to continue developing and to provide the best support to my clients, I have recently commenced my advanced level CIPD qualification in HR Management and working alongside HR Now UK, I look forward to furthering my knowledge of strategic HRM.

I have a broad range of clients on both ad-hoc tasks and more complex HR matters and projects which have been both challenging and rewarding. I am continuously developing as an HR professional and know that I have the support of our experienced team, to assist our SME clients in achieving best people practice and to ensure we advise with the most up to date local (Jersey, Guernsey and UK) HR employment law knowledge. Clients require a broad range of support, including from recruitment to terminationappraisals, performance management, absence management, grievances, and disciplinaries. Additionally, I enjoy finding the right digital HR solutions for organisations in order to meet their needs and goals.

What makes me smile?

I am a real people person and always on the go. If I’m not visiting friends or family around the UK, you will see me cycling, walking, or doing Yoga. Snowboarding and travelling are my go-to talking points and having recently taken a career break to travel Asia, next on my bucket list is road tripping Norway.
