Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Minimum 7 years marketing experience, ideally in the travel, tourism, hospitality or transport sectors. Proven track record in the successful delivery of marketing campaigns and product marketing.
Minimum 5 years marketing management experience, with exceptional leadership skills, creating conditions for development and success that will enhance business performance, encourage team working and provide inspiration and support.
Above and below the line marketing experience in traditional (tv, radio, print, OOH) and digital channels, with an understanding of how to balance and blend brand building/always-on activity with tactical/campaign-led activation.
Experience in media planning, buying and the auditing and evaluation of activity in excess of £2m pa.
Website custodian, able to demonstrate experience managing website content, user experience and performance.
Awareness of the opportunities arising from the current and future digital and tech environments and with the capability to leverage this for the benefit of Visit Jersey.
Commercial acumen, able to analyse and interpret data, market potential and marketing performance.
Budget management and reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate, influence and negotiate at senior levels as well as an ability to build trust and respect within the industry, with peers and external stakeholders.
Understanding of Jersey – the destination and its culture – and the opportunities to increase tourism productivity.
Degree educated with marketing qualifications an advantage.
